The SWC-CH type single telescopic welded coupling uses bolts and self-locking nuts to connect the flanges at both ends to other mechanical components. The transfer torque is transmitted through the friction between the flange face key and the flange.

When the two shafts connected by the SWC-CH single telescopic welded coupling are not on the same axis, the driving shaft will move at a constant speed and the driven shaft will move periodically within a certain range, that is, the two shafts are not synchronized.The theory of double cross-shaft constant angular velocity transmission believes that if two cross-shaft universal couplings are used in series, the uneven transmission of a single cross-shaft universal coupling can be achieved, and constant velocity transmission can be achieved, but the following requirements must be met Conditions: a. The three axes of the intermediate shaft, the driving shaft and the driven shaft should be in the same plane; b. The forks of the fork joints at both ends of the intermediate shaft should be in the same plane; The moving shaft can have stable angular velocity and torque, and the intermediate shaft can be extended and contracted to meet the requirements of some mobile machinery or experimental equipment for the position of the main and driven shafts to change at any time during transmission, that is, the requirements of α1 and α2 change at any time.

However, the speed of the intermediate shaft of this type of SWC-CH type single telescopic welded coupling is variable, which will cause additional inertial torque, torsional vibration and vibration noise.Therefore, in order to realize the balanced operation of the transmission shaft, it is usually stipulated that the moment of inertia cannot exceed 8% of the rated torque of the cardan shaft and cannot exceed 30% of the rated torque of the cardan shaft.In addition, the existence of the intermediate shaft increases the axial size of the universal joint, and the expansion and contraction of the intermediate shaft will cause the generation of axial force (when the intermediate shaft is extended, an axial tension is generated at the fork, and when it is shortened, an axial pressure is generated. ).

The axial force acts on the cross shaft bearing, and also causes the axial load and radial load at the support of the drive shaft.

Use and maintenance of SWC-CH single telescopic welding coupling

1. Before installing the universal coupling, clean the two end faces and check the fit of the key grooves on the end face, and then tighten the screws so that they are not allowed to loosen;

2. After the universal coupling is installed, run a shift normally, check all the fastening screws, if found to be loose, tighten it again with the specified tightening torque, so that it will not be loosened after several shifts;

3. Lubrication of sliding surface of universal coupling, crosshead, bearing, etc., generally use 2# industrial lithium-based grease or 2# molybdenum disulfide calcium-based grease, under normal conditions, run continuously for 500 hours, refuel once, and run 2 intermittently Refuel once a month. If working under high temperature conditions, refuel once a week. When refueling, unscrew the oil hole screw on the bearing end face and inject it with a high-pressure oil gun until it overflows;

4. The universal coupling must be maintained once after 3 months of use. If normal wear such as indentation is found, it should be replaced in time;

5. In order to prolong the service life of the universal joint, during maintenance, disassembly and washing, the cross shaft is rotated 180° to achieve alternate use of the journal force;

6. Long-term overload use and operation accidents should be avoided;

7. During work and operation, you should always observe whether the universal joint has abnormal radial swing and bearing heating, etc., and find these phenomena and repair them in time;

8. Appropriate protective measures shall be adopted in various places where personal and equipment accidents may be caused by the operating universal coupling.
