The sliding block of the sliding block coupling is circular and made of steel or alloy. The intermediate sliding block is used to slide in the corresponding radial grooves on the end faces of the half couplings on both sides to realize the coupling of the two halves. It is mainly suitable for transmission with low speed and large transmission torque.

The sliding block coupling is composed of two half couplings with grooves on the end faces and an intermediate disc with convex teeth on both sides. The convex teeth can slide in the groove to compensate for the two shafts during installation and operation. For the relative displacement between the two, the slider is usually made of engineering plastic as a torque transmission element, but other materials can be selected under the circumstances.

Features

1. The material of the slider coupling parts can be 45 steel, and the working surface needs to be heat treated to improve its hardness;

2. The half-coupling and the intermediate disc form a moving pair, which cannot rotate relative to each other. Therefore, the angular velocity of the driving shaft and the driven shaft should be equal, and the working speed should not be greater than the specified value when selecting;

3. The sliding block is connected with the sleeves on both sides by 90° relative distribution on both sides, so as to achieve the purpose of transmitting torque;

4. The sliding block and the shaft sleeve are matched with a slight pressure, which can make the coupling run with zero clearance during the operation of the equipment;

5. Slider couplings are often used in common motors. In some cases, they can also be used to connect servo motors. The sliding of the slider can correct the relative displacement during use.
