The production process characteristics of the star coupling and the operation steps of the hot sleeve coupling

When the lubrication effect of the star coupling and the bearing bush fails to meet the requirements, a variety of failure characteristics will appear.If the oil pressure is low, the part between the shaft and the bearing bush will cause dry friction due to direct contact and cause damage and damage to the moving surface. At this time, the shaft surface is blue.If the lubricating oil fails or the pressure cannot be built up, the moving surface loses the protection of the oil film and directly contacts for dry friction.In addition to economy, the repair of star couplings is also technical. This requires the repairer to fully understand the corresponding technical requirements of the bearing, and the characteristics of the structure, process and material of the bearing and its parts, otherwise it will be difficult. Bearing repair has a satisfactory effect.

Assembly technology and requirements:

1.When assembling, remove burrs and clean all parts

2.When assembling, the middle two welding prong bearing holes must be on the same plane, and the allowable difference shall not exceed 1°

3.After the star coupling is assembled, the spline pair should slide freely, and the joint should rotate flexibly

4.After assembling, clean the surface, except for the flange end face and the end face key with anti-rust grease, brush the anti-rust primer once and spray paint (no paint).

5.When packing, it should be leveled and clamped tightly.

Coupling manufacturing process characteristics:

1.High rigidity, high torque, low inertia;

2.Deformation of circular or square elastic stainless steel sheet;

3.Large torque load, high torque rigidity and high sensitivity;

4.Zero backlash, clockwise and counterclockwise rotation characteristics are the same;

5.Maintenance-free, oil and resistance;

6.The double stainless steel coupling can compensate for radial, angular and axial deviations, but a single diaphragm cannot compensate for radial deviations.

Eight operation steps for connecting the hot sleeve of the star coupling:

1.The star coupling is heated to the specified temperature in the heating furnace, and the temperature of the workpiece is detected.

2.Take out the coupling and turn it over and put it in the furnace to continue heating.For example, use firewood to heat large couplings.After 2 to 3 hours, the measuring rod repeatedly measures the hole diameter until the measuring rod of the size can freely enter the coupling hole, and the heating is finished.

3.Lift out the coupling and install the striker, climbing or other kit tools.

4.Correct the position so that the coupling hole is vertical (when it is installed vertically) or horizontal (when it is installed horizontally), and the coupling hole is cleaned so that the inner hole is free of debris.

5.Hang the coupling close to the shaft; once again check with the measuring rod whether the inner hole size has the required assembly clearance, and if the measuring rod can pass, the assembly can be carried out.

6.Apply engine oil evenly on the mating surface of the shaft.

7.Move the coupling of the star coupling steadily closer to the shaft, align the position of the shaft and the hole, and set it.After the coupling is sleeved in about 1/3, the relative position of the hole and the shaft should be checked again to see if there is any skew. If it is correct, continue to hit the coupling.

8.Install the clamping tool to prevent the coupling from moving on the shaft, and then let it cool down naturally.

Installation of star coupling:

1.The star coupling is composed of at least one diaphragm and two shaft sleeves.The diaphragm is fastened to the shaft sleeve with a pin and generally does not loosen or cause backlash between the diaphragm and the shaft sleeve.Some manufacturers provide two diaphragms, and some provide three diaphragms, with one or two rigid elements in the middle, and the two sides are connected to the shaft sleeve.

2.The star coupling is a bit like a bellows coupling. In fact, the way the coupling transmits torque is similar.The diaphragm itself is very thin, so it is easy to bend when the relative displacement load is generated, so it can withstand up to 1.5 degrees of deviation, while generating a lower bearing load in the servo system.

3.Star couplings are often used in servo systems. The diaphragm has good torque rigidity, but it is slightly inferior to bellows couplings.

4.On the other hand, the star coupling is very delicate and can be easily damaged if it is misused in use or not installed correctly.Therefore, the deviation is very large within the tolerance range of the normal operation of the coupling.

5.Adjust the model according to the shaft diameter: The initially selected coupling size of the bearing coupling, that is, the shaft hole diameter d and the shaft hole length L, should meet the requirements of the main and driven end shaft diameters, otherwise the coupling should be adjusted according to the shaft diameter d The specifications of the device.
